Five lifestyle favourites from the month of January. I am honestly in disbelief that the first month of 2017 is almost over. I swear time is moving faster than ever before. Come see what I've been loving.
Don't know about you guys but I love having a peek in other people's bedrooms. I think they say a lot about a person. Mine is not 100% finished and I am back living with my parents so the room is pretty small but it is my little sanctuary. You'll find lots of faux fur, copper accents and fairy lights. Come inside, make yourself at home.
I've always been a bit of an avid sunglasses fan so it seems fitting that I work for an online designer eyewear store, Pretavoir based here in Glasgow. Some perks of the job include being able to see all the latest designer sunglasses and getting to try on the odd pair too. I picked up these beautiful Dolce & Gabbana frames after a lot of umming and ahhing, too many choices, I want them all!
I want to try and visit five cities in Europe in 2017. Copenhagen is a slight cheat because this is already booked for Dee's 30th. We actually studied abroad in Denmark so I've been to Copenhagen a few times but haven't been in years so I'm excited to go back. We got cheap flights for £35 return and an Airbnb right in the heart of the city so I'm looking forward to ah-ing over all the Scandic decor and eating all the Danish pastries. We might even squeeze a bit of cycling in, has to be done.
I know many think New Year's resolutions are dumb as we usually set goals that are too high to achieve. I like to make 10 mini goals each year. I don't take them too seriously, so I don't beat myself up if I haven't stuck to them all in January. January sucks. Be kind to yourself, don't stress yourself out over trivial things. Instead by setting mini challenges it helps me to keep motivated throughout the year. Give it a try, you never know, you might just stick to some of them and make 2017 the best year yet.
I love having a nosey at what everyone else on the internet got for Christmas so I thought I would give a little run down of the presents I was lucky to receive. I am super grateful to all my family and friends and especially to my Mum who spoils me 365 days a year, Heather you are the best. The older you get the less important gifts become, it's all about the food and drink am I right? But I love giving presents, seeing someone's face light up when they unwrap a gift is one of the best feelings ever. So thanks again everyone and I hope you like what I got as much as I do.
I've been meaning to post these pictures of my favourite Real Techniques brushes for a long time now, sorry life and work got in the way. One of my New Year's Resolutions is to get back in to blogging so here I am, again. I'm also back and with a slightly updated blog design (shoutout to Etsy for its amazing blogger templates). I hope you like it!
